For those of you who know me, it takes a lot to get me to slow down to a stop. Over the past week, COVID has managed to do just this. While feeling under the weather is no fun, it has reminded me of the importance of exploring gratitude within the process of healing. When you really stop to experience it, there is nothing quite like enjoying the warmth of the water from a steaming shower, snuggling up beneath a soft blanket, and reveling in the feeling of a nap. Take some time to slow down this week, my friends.

READ | With my time at home this week, I have been enjoying some extra time reading. I am especially enjoying Fuzz by Mary Roach. It presents a unique look at how humans and nature intersect.
TRY THIS | When life feels overwhelming or out of control, steady yourself with simple rituals. Fold the laundry. Wash the dishes. Take a shower. Water plants. Through simplicity, allow yourself to return to your body and your breath.
